Chemical-free pest control
“Full orchard network coverage” is a term you don’t hear often. But it’s what Semios, a Canadian farming technology company, promises. More than just soil and water monitoring, the company claims its systems can trap, count and monitor pests, allowing farmers to set alerts and thresholds and even trigger the release of EPA-approved pheromones that disrupt pests’ mating cycles. It’s yet another case of how long-term, imprecise forecasts are being replaced by real-time field monitoring and targeted, automated responses.
