Butte County

In Butte West, the week of April 7–13 saw minimal precipitation (0.04 inches) and low average temperatures of 62.6°F. Leaf wetness duration averaged 9 hours per day (63 hours total). These conditions led to a low risk for Green Fruit Rot (also known as Jacket Rot) and Shothole disease. All other monitored diseases—Alternaria Leaf Spot, Anthracnose, Bacterial Blast, and Bacterial Spot—showed no risk.

Looking ahead to April 14–20, no precipitation or leaf wetness is expected, with temperatures rising slightly to 66°F. As a result, no disease risk is forecasted for this region.

 

Colusa County

Colusa East remained dry last week, with an average temperature of 61.5°F and an average leaf wetness duration of 6.7 hours, for a total of 47 hours. These conditions produced a low risk for Green Fruit Rot and Shothole disease. No other diseases were observed.

This coming week will continue with dry weather and moderate temperatures around 64.9°F. Forecasted leaf wetness is minimal (1.9 hours on average with 13 total hours), meaning low risk remains for Green Fruit Rot and Shothole disease, with no risk for other diseases.

 

Stanislaus County

Stanislaus Central experienced light rain (0.008 inches), low average temperatures (61.5°F), and nearly 8 hours per day of leaf wetness last week, totaling 55 hours. These conditions resulted in low risk for Green Fruit Rot (Jacet Rot) and Shothole disease. There was also a low risk of Bacterial Spot, with the most recent risk accumulating on April 8.

For the week ahead, forecasts call for dry weather and slightly warmer but still low temperatures of 63°F. Leaf wetness duration is expected to decrease to 3.3 hours per day (23 hours total), resulting in a low risk of Green Fruit Rot (Jacket Rot) and Shothole disease.

 

In Stanislaus East, dry weather was recorded, with a low average temperature of 62.1°F and an average leaf wetness duration of 2 hours per day (14 hours total). These conditions supported a low risk for Green Fruit Rot (Jacket Rot) and Shothole disease.

This week, forecasts show a continuation of dry weather, with a low average temperature around 62.8°F. Leaf wetness duration is forecasted to increase to an average of 4.7 hours (33 hours in total). There is a continued low risk for Green Fruit Rot (Jacket Rot) and Shothole disease.

 

Stanislaus West saw no precipitation and a low average temperatures of 61.2°F, with leaf wetness duration of 9.3 hours on average (65 hours total). Disease risk remained low and confined to Green Fruit Rot and Shothole disease.

This week is forecasted to have no precipiation, milder leaf wetness duration—about 2.7 hours per day (19 hours total)—and similar temperatures of 61.8°F. Risk levels are expected to remain low for Green Fruit Rot (Jacket Rot) and Shothole disease.

 

Merced County 

Merced Central was dry last week, with temperatures averaging 62.6°F and an average leaf wetness duration of 7 hours per day (49 hours of leaf wetness. This resulted in low risk for Green Fruit Rot (Jacket Rot) and Shothole disease, with no risk for other diseases monitored.

The forecast for April 14–20 calls for dry weather and temperatures around 62.8°F, with an average leaf wetness duration of 4.3 hours (30 hours total). Conditions are resulting in a continued low risk of Green Fruit Rot (Jacket Rot) and Shothole disease.

 

Madera County 

In Madera Central, the week brought no rainfall and average temperatures of 63.5°F. Leaf wetness totaled 49 hours with an average of 7 hours per day. As a result, disease activity was low and limited to Green Fruit Rot (Jacket Rot) and Shothole. Anthracnose risk levels remained minimal, with a 21-day index of just 0.2 and no new risk accumulated.

This week brings similar temperatures of 62.4°F and a trace of rain (0.008 inches), with 33 hours of forecasted leaf wetness duration (4.7 hours per day). Disease risk remains low, again only for Green Fruit Rot (Jacket Rot), Shothole, and Anthranose.

 

Fresno County

Fresno Central saw dry conditions and average temperatures of 63.9°F last week, along with 50 hours of leaf wetness (an average of 7.1 hours per day). These contributed to a low disease risk for Green Fruit Rot (Jacket Rot) and Shothole.

With continued dry weather, similar average temperatures of 64.8°F, and a drop in leaf wetness duration to 9 total hours (an average of 1.3 hours per day), the outlook remains the same: low risk, confined to Green Fruit Rot (Jacket Rot) and Shothole disease.

 

Last week, Fresno East experienced no precipitation but recorded 72 hours of leaf wetness (10.3 hours per day), paired with low average temperatures of 63.9°F. This led to a high risk of Bacterial Spot (a 7-day index of 1), with the most recent risk accumulation happening on April 10. Risk of Green Fruit Rot (Jacket Rot) and Shothole disease were also observed at low levels.

Next week, forecasts predict light rain (0.09 inches) and continued low temperatures of 64°F. Average leaf wetness duration is forecasted to be 4.3 hours. You should be alert to continued Bacterial Spot risk, particularly on April 17. A very low risk of 0.1 for Anthracnose is also expected, with risk expected to occur on April 17 as well. Green Fruit Rot (Jacket Rot) and Shothole disease risk remains low.

 

Fresno West reported no precipitation and no leaf wetness hours last week, with moderate average temperatures of 66.9°F. No disease risk was observed.

This week looks similar, with only 14 total hours of forecasted leaf wetness and average temperatures around 64.2°F. As a result, disease risk is expected to remain minimal, with a low risk for Green Fruit Rot (Jacket Rot) and Shothole disease.

 

Kern County

Kern Central had moderate temperatures (66.2°F), no rainfall, and 16 total hours of leaf wetness during the past week. These mild conditions resulted in low risk for Green Fruit Rot (Jacket Rot) and Shothole, with no other diseases risk noted.

This week's forecast calls for 0.01 inches of rain, continued moderate temperatures of 64.6°F and no leaf wetness hours. No disease risk is expected.

 

Kern East saw similar trends, with minimal leaf wetness duration (0.4 hours per day on average) and average temperatures of 64.9°F. No disease risk was reocrded.

This week, the area may receive 0.13 inches of rain and a total of 10 hours of leaf wetness (3.3 hours per day). Disease risk remains low, limited to Green Fruit Rot (Jacket Rot) and Shothole.

 

Kern West remained dry last week with an average temperature of 67.1°F and no leaf wetness hours. There was no disease risk.

The coming week brings similar dry conditions, moderate temperatures of 64.6°F, and no leaf wetness hours forecasted. These conditions lead to no disease risk being expected.
